In this video I went ice fishing for sunfish for the first time ever. Manitoba is like the upper limit of the sunfish range but there are some sneaky populations here and there. They are pretty strong fighters for their size and can be plentiful.
As usual at early ice, please take precautions. Since the ice was pretty new, I would only take risks on small bodies of water with no current.
